Tourments d’amour / Torments of Love
72min. Directed by Caroline Jules.
Starring
Daniely Francisque, Stana Roumillac, Christophe Rangoly

On an island off the coast of Guadalupe, two sisters, Myriam and Vanessa, have planned to stay for a few days in the family house, where the sweet memory of their grandmother is still vivid. But Vanessa is not aware that a particular guest is expected for lunch and when she catches sight of her father coming, a cold and quiet man that she didn’t want to see anymore, it is too late to escape the confrontation. Around the table, unsaid things, provocations and blunders will lead each individual to face their own ambiguous feelings. In French and Creole with English subtitles. Winner of the Jury and Audience Awards for Best Narrative Feature at the 21st Cine Las Americas International Film Festival.

The film will be preceded by the short film LA HORA DE LA MERIENDA (TEATIME) directed by Alba González de Molina. TEATIME is the winner of Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at the 21st Cine Las Americas International Film Festival.

CINENOCHE is presented in partnership with Cine Las Americas International Film Festival. CLA members will receive a $2 discount on tickets purchased at the box office or by phone.
