The news that teacher Celeste will be leaving her class has plunged the children into sadness, as she only has a few days left before moving to another school. Together they live a month of September full of movements, directions and revelations, in the endearing universe of a classroom in a small town in Mexico. LA FALLA (CRACKED) is a deeply personal and poetic exploration of childhood, memory, and the vocation of teaching in an increasingly uncertain world. Inspired by the director’s own recollections of early awareness, the film returns to the formative space of a second-grade classroom to examine how children make sense of the world around them.
